Over the past 10 years Glasgow Prestwick's freight business has grown significantly - a testament to our first class facilities and ability to handle ‘main deck’ freighter traffic efficiently and professionally. 

In support of Scottish & UK industry Glasgow Prestwick has successfully developed  direct intercontinental freight services and currently handles 19 x 747 scheduled freighter services per week.

The origin transit points for these services - which play a significant role in substantially reducing import/export transit times - include New York, San Francisco, Guadalajara, Amsterdam, Paris and Luxembourg.

Numerous ad-hoc airfreight charter movements also utilise Glasgow Prestwick and a number of major forwarders are located at or close to the airport.
