Glasgow Prestwick is the only airport in Scotland served by its own railway station which is accessible by a covered walkway to/from the airport.
From Glasgow
The service operates
· 0600 – 0015 Monday – Friday
· 0600 – 2330 Saturday
· 0900 – 2300 Sunday
· Journey time is 50 minutes
From Airport
The service operates
· 0548 – 2308 Monday - Saturday (every 30minutes)
· 0850 – 2307 Sunday
· Journey time 50 minutes
All passengers receive free or half price rail travel.

FREE Rail Travel
For the first 6 months of any new route all passengers are entitled to FREE rail travel to/from Glasgow Prestwick Airport . The rail travel is only applicable on the days that you travel to and from the airport. You can only use the free offer outwith this time if there are no trains from your designated station on your day of travel to the airport.
The routes that currently qualify for the free rail offer are:
- Las Palmas (27 October 2009 - 26 April 2010)
- Arrecife (29 October 2009 - 28 April 2010)
- Palma (31 October 2009 - 30 April 2010)
- Alicante (25 October 2009 - 24 April 2010)
- Carcassonne (31 March 2010 - 30 September 2010)
- Ibiza (30 Mar 2010 - 29 September 2010)
- Jersey (19 June 2010 - 11 September 2010)
To get your free travel tickets, produce your original flight confirmation (your booking confirmation with the airline logo) at a First ScotRail Booking Office or the airport's Service desk where you'll be issued with a FREE travel voucher to anywhere in Scotland. These free tickets are not available on train.
1/2 Price Rail Travel
All passengers traveling to and from the airport will receive 50% discount on the standard fare.
Passengers joining the train at Prestwick Airport require to show their official flight confirmation and photo id to the train conductor when buying their ticket, as there is no ticketing office at Prestwick Airport.
Passengers joining the train at a station with a ticketing office, please purchase your tickets before boarding the train. |
