At Glasgow Prestwick International Airport, we are developing a centre of excellence in the aircraft maintenance and aerospace industries. Located at the airport are companies such as BAe Systems, GE Caledonian, Goodrich Corporation and Woodward Aircraft Controls, specialising in the aerospace structures, components and systems sectors.
We are home to a B747 maintenance facility operated by Polar Air Cargo and a B737-800 double-bay facility for Ryanair.
With a 2,987 metre main runway, over 140 acres of development land for further runway-related facilities and the availability of substantial Government Grant funding, opportunities exist for the development of more aircraft hangars and maintenance bases, for both wide and narrow-bodied aircraft.
This cluster of world-class companies demonstrates the high level of engineering excellence and quality workforce pool available to relocators setting up at Glasgow Prestwick.
